Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is one of the few buzzwords, which is now turned to be an attractive spotlight in the domain of the ICT world. In recent times, top BPO provider countries are looking for more ways to go next level of the outsourcing business. The interest of Bangladesh lies here to seize the opportunity of making itself a global BPO destination.
With the view of promoting the business opportunity of the country, the central trade body for the country's BPO/Outsourcing industry, the Bangladesh Association of Call Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) is making every effort with the Government to achieve the target of $1 Billion revenue-earning within 2025. 
The presence of a high number of young entrepreneurs and their enthusiasm and the government’s focus on ‘Digital Bangladesh’ are the main driving forces behind the ICT industry in the country. Over the years, one of the key reasons behind the growth of BPO in the country has been the extended support of the Government-led development plan, which ensured incentivizes to local and international investments. Also, there have been other contributing factors, which have played a huge role in how the BPO industry has changed the face of the nation's economy. The IT/ ITES industry of the country expects a greater export market revenue growth by the coming years, which is visualized by a steep rise in the graph. Recently, the global BPO services delivery landscape undergoing a significant transformation.
Within just over two decades, the BPO sector has been transformed into one of the most widespread industries and service sectors globally with a continuing desire for further geographic expansion. At present, the country ranks as the second most preferred outsourcing destination in Asia, especially for English-speaking clients, because of its large number of IT skilled workers who are also experts at the language.
Significant initiatives are taken by the Government and the private sector to enhance the BPO business as well as train the pool of younger talents, including many remarkable projects such as Leveraging ICT, She-power, SEIP, LEDP, etc., and establishment of Technology Parks in different divisions of the country.
Nevertheless, the scope for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry will keep growing in the coming years. In this technological advancement journey, the ICT industry trade association of the country, Bangladesh Computer Samity has also been seamlessly catalyzing the public and private sectors’ ICT stakeholders of the country for the last three decades.
